This book is about my arrival in America. Moving from Hong Kong to Savannah, Georgia, was always going to be a major transition. After a seventeen-hour trip, I had left the jungle of skyscrapers of a dense island metropolis for drooping Oak-lined streets, Spanish moss, and Victorian mansions. Worried as I was when one of my bags failed to appear at the baggage carousel, I was quickly welcomed by the famous Southern hospitality I had heard so much about. Though I struggled over the first few weeks with the unfamiliar surroundings, I soon made Savannah my home and to this day it holds a special place in my heart. At SCAD, once a bee, always a bee.
